Wallet configuration¶
Any EVM-compatible wallet can connect to Bitgold Network. The steps below use MetaMask and Trust Wallet as examples; the same network fields work in any wallet that supports custom networks.
Mainnet¶
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Bitgold Mainnet |
| RPC URL | https://rpc.bitgold.network |
| Chain ID | 618 (0x26A) |
| Currency symbol | BTG |
| Block explorer | https://www.bitgold.live |
Testnet¶
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Bitgold Testnet |
| RPC URL | https://testnet1.bitgold.network |
| Chain ID | 617 (0x269) |
| Currency symbol | tBTG |
| Block explorer | https://testnet.bitgold.live |
Additional endpoints are listed in JSON-RPC Endpoint. You can use any of them as the RPC URL; test latency and pick the one that performs best from your location.
MetaMask¶
- Open MetaMask and go to Settings → Networks → Add network → Add a network manually.
- Enter the mainnet or testnet values from the tables above.
- Save, then switch to the new network.
Trust Wallet¶
- Open Trust Wallet and go to Settings → Network → Add Custom Network.
- Enter the mainnet or testnet values from the tables above.
- Save, then select the network from the network list.
Verify the connection¶
After switching networks, the wallet should show BTG (mainnet) or tBTG (testnet) as the native currency. You can confirm the connection by opening the mainnet explorer or testnet explorer and searching for your address.
Testnet funds
tBTG has no monetary value and is available from the Bitgold testnet faucet.
